As required by the Highway Code, from 15 November it is mandatory by law to carry snow chains or snow tyres on board.
The regulation states that, between 15 November and 14 April, “vehicles must be fitted with, or carry on board, anti-skid devices or winter tyres suitable for driving on snow or ice.”
The requirement applies only outside built-up areas, but individual municipalities may also require it within residential areas. Driving with chains on board can exempt you from the requirement to fit thermal or M+S tyres.
Don't be caught out by winter: come and see us, you will find snow chains for your motorhome. Bring your vehicle registration document and the full identification code of your tyres.
