How the quality of Carthago motorhomes comes about
The Carthago Reisemobilbau GmbH dates back to 1979, when Karl-Heinz Schuler started a customisation business for the vehicles of his first customers. It would take at least a couple of years before the business took the shape of a real workshop, which soon afterwards specialised in the construction of bus bodies.
The growth of this market brought continuous new life to the workshop’s business, and by 1990 Carthago was one of the most important coachbuilders in Europe specialising in the structural modification of Volkswagen vehicles.
